School Room Water Damage in South Miami

The ruptured water line in the wall resulted in water damage to the molding and carpet along with some drywall. Our SERVPRO of South Miami technicians extracted the water from the carpet with wet-vacs before attacking the moisture problem. We removed some molding to "float" the edges of the flooring material to enable complete drying. We sprayed a deodorizing product to eliminate the slight odor left from the water's interaction with the carpeting. Pictured is a gel dehumidifier that captures water molecules circulating in the air. We returned the RH, relative humidity, to state mandated levels for a municipal building and documented the results.
