Mold Problem in Coral Gables
The drain from the kitchen sink in this Coral Gables condo was leaking, unnoticed, for a considerable length of time. The dark condition within the wall void along with the cellulose from the wood studs and cardboard sandwiched drywall, invited for a significant mold infestation. Our SERVPRO applied microbial remediation technicians assessed the damage, removed the infested cabinet and replaced the contaminated drywall. We then sprayed an antifungal product in the treated area to reduce the chance of another fungi outbreak. During the demolition, HEPA filtration systems were used to isolate the dust, mold, and spores from circulating to unaffected areas of the condo. We installed a new sink and cabinet, and the owners stated it felt "Like it never even happened."
