South Miami Condo Suffers Storm Damage
Flood waters entered through a lower level entry door while the owners were out of the condo in this South Miami photo. The moisture absorbed into the fibers of the carpet and padding. A downspout broke, so the water was relatively clean since it flowed from the roof to a concrete patio pad before settling on the flooring. There was no pooling water to speak of. We salvaged the expensive carpeting by lifting the corners by the baseboards, exposing the padding and gaining access to ventilate. We set up many air movers to increase evaporation; dehumidifiers captured the humid airborne vapor to dry out the affected rooms. Our SERVPRO of South Miami Carpet Cleaning Technician applied the finishing touches. "Like it never even happened."
